Go forth and follow

So... about a week ago I clicked over to my google reader and got The Message. You know the one. Anyhow, since Google has decided to focus on other areas that are more important to them than Reader, I jumped on the Bloglovin train.
It was super easy to import my blogs and I got to clean up my list. Now, by the magic of the Internet, go.....

 Follow my blog with Bloglovin

you know, if you want to. No pressure.

Yesterday we saw the armadillo while driving down a dirt road. The bobcat and deer are from back in February. We finally decided to name the bobcat "Boko". It's quite exciting to see him (or her?) on the game cam. We used to see a lot of squirrels on the camera, but then Boko showed up.... There's still a lot of raccoons; out of 900+ pics on the camera at least 98% are of the raccoons. We even caught a glimpse of them procreating.... not sorry that I'm not sharing that one.
Now, go have yourself a good afternoon!

A little fishy

Spring break was so nice! We were blessed with great weather and went fishing several times. Since we are recovering from a drought all the fish are pretty small, but the kids learning so that's okay. Spring seems to be here already and I am so glad! We are spending so much more time outside which means less mess inside- always a plus!

wednesday

This morning I helped the kids hook up some tents and tunnels to play in. I think they played in it for approximately 79 seconds before they started irritating each other. We're recovering from colds and hopefully we'll be feeling back to normal soon. I'll be back tomorrow. Maybe.... hopefully.

Go Fly A Kite

Sunday was sunny, warm and windy. The perfect day to fly a kite. After church we had few things to pick up from the store and as we were heading to check out we spotted 97 cent kites and snatched 3 of them up. I didn't expect to enjoy flying kites very much... I thought the lines would get tangled or the kids wouldn't like it. We had an absolute blast. We decided to load up our lawn chairs and head to the hay field (it's planted with oats right now) and try out our kites. Our friend, Carson, came along and helped get the kites going for the kids. It was so much fun and surprisingly relaxing. Afterwards we checked the game camera and got a nice picture of the bobcat that is hanging around back there as well as about 900 pictures of racoons and a few deer thrown in, too. I hope all of you had a good weekend!

ten happy things friday

one
Tomorrow my family is getting together for breakfast and a coffee taste testing. I'm going to make pancakes and I'm bringing some coffee to try- it should be a lot of fun!

two
I made these asian chicken lettuce wraps a few nights ago and I really liked them! I did not follow the recipe to a "T", but they were still great.

three
More food happiness here... last night I really wanted some chicken parm, but didn't want the trouble of actually going through the process of making it. So I threw some frozen chicken breasts sprinkled with basil, garlic powder and s&p in the oven for 30 minutes. I pulled them out and spooned some jarred pasta sauce over them and topped with some shredded mozzarella and baked for another 20 ish mintues. They were so good! I told the kids it was "pizza chicken" and they gobbled it up saying that it was really yummy and they want me to make it again. Winning!

four
Sam is starting to "talk" more and it's great listening to her.

five

six
Well... I don't know what to really say, but Tim and I have been laughing at all the harlem shake videos.

seven
My kids are really good. Maybe they drive me crazy sometimes, but I'm blessed.

eight
The wind has been really strong this week and it's finally back to normal so that the kids actually want to be outside again.

nine
Can you believe it's March already? I'm glad Winter is about over.

ten
The weekend starts in 90 minutes. Yay!
