Yesterday I mentioned that we are getting the sheep moved back here. They had been escaping from our place on a very frequent basis and it finally got bad enough (they had wandered down our country road a little too far) that we told my sister and brother in law that something had to be done. We don't have sheep proof fencing... all we have ever had out here are cattle so it's just barbed wire. (We have a little partnership with my sister and brother in law... They rescued the sheep from a lady that didn't have room for them and T and I agreed to care for them.) We moved the sheep to their neighbor's place (who had agreed to board them) and things were going along just fine, or so we thought. I don't want to get into a long complicated story (I've tried writing it but it would only confuse us all) we had to get them moved Sunday night or they would be free to walk out any gate they wanted to on Monday morning. My sister and brother in law live right across from the barn where the sheep usually bed down. We decided to have my sister and brother in law walk the sheep across their road and onto their property. It all worked out and Monday we started building a fence on our place that would be sheep proof. Basically the huge front yard I have (and do nothing with) is being turned into paddock for the sheep.
I think everything is going to work out well and the sheep will stay pretty happy in this area. It'll be nice to see them out my kitchen window in the morning (and all day) again.
I was incredibly distracted while writing this because I had three children climbing all over me. Also, spell check is not running and my pictures took forever to upload. I need to guzzle some more coffee and go start my real day.

I Want to Buy Spray Piant
Lots of it. I stumbled upon this website, A Soft Place to Land, yesterday and I'm a teeny bit addicted. (If you click over there, I am just warning you, be prepared to get nothing else accomplished today. Um, you guys can go ahead and loose your minds here.)
I am by no means very artsy or super crafty, but I am so inspired by this lady that I feel like I can totally re-do and update our rooms without a lot of fuss. In fact, yesterday evening I painted some swatches of paint on our kitchen and dining room walls (instead of starting supper). It was the "Summer Song" I mentioned recently... I am not feeling it, y'all. It ended up looking really florescent and I can't imagine starting out the day in such a neon bright room. The problem is I have an entire gallon. I told T how I felt about it and he suggested we use it to brighten up the house next door. I am so glad he thought of that. I bet it will look good there... (By the way, T has not fallen ill to "decorator lingo" and actually said to "just use it next door"... I don't think he would ever say anything like "brighten up" or "liven up" or "create a fresh space". He would just say, "This looks clean. I like it.")
Anyhow, I am currently dreaming about spray painting bookcases and making our living room welcoming. Also, the laundry room. I envy those of you that can close you laundry room door. I have no such luxury and am conjuring up a plan as I type this. I also want to create a "chalkboard wall" for my boys. I am thinking I can frame their closet door and create it there. If any of these things get accomplished I'll post before and after pictures. I don't have the courage to post pictures right now.
In other news, we are getting the sheep moved back over here. Last night we started fencing off an escape proof area for them. I'll post some pictures tomorrow.
I'm going to finish painting my room (last wall!) today,
Mama

Once Upon a Foggy Morning
Last week we had a nice foggy morning. I headed outside to take a few pictures before the kids woke up and here's what I saw...
The first was my geranium; it gave a burst of flaming red against all the gray fog.
Then I glanced out into the yard and saw one of the horses. The other one was trying to get into the shed where their feed was. That's why I ignored her.
Brenner kept running by me with this thorny stick. He kept running just close enough to me that it would slap my leg when he went by.
I let him know I wasn't too thrilled about that so he did me a favor and ran by on my other side so the stick wouldn't hit me. How considerate of him.
Then I focused on flowering weeds.
And the bug that living on this one. Isn't it cute?
Anybody up for a game of "He loves me, he loves me not"? This was my flower of choice.
I was a bit scared of getting too close to this pretty spider web. I couldn't locate the spider and I was pretty sure if I got too close it was going to jump in my hair. I worry about the strangest things. Or do I?

This one's for you
C.L.B. Oh, you know who you are. You know because I'm mentioning this little tidbit: I've never called this a "daily blog". IF I ever did I must have been delusional at the time. (IF there is some place you read this was a "daily blog" please leave a comment with your reference.) I will correct that right away (IF you prove me wrong).
I know you are far away right now and this blog might mean that I can, on occasion, make you smile or laugh. Maybe it reminds you of home and therefor when you pull up my blog and find that I've failed you by not posting anything new you get a little... upset. Maybe you call up my sweetheart and express your anger at totally being let down because there was nothing new yesterday. And then Little Miss Blogger takes a break on the weekends. So you are left with three whole days with nothing to read here. I had no idea how much this little hobby of mine meant to you. I mean, I heard that you had liked it, but I just didn't know you were addicted to it. Honestly, it's really flattering to know I have such a dedicated reader. I sincerely appreciate you taking the time to pull up this blog in hopes of reading about some sort adventure I may have had while I was feeding the chickens. (Please note, I heard about you're little comment about it being time to eat a chicken. I will not be taking your
advice.)
Some days I pull up the blog and try to write something interesting and after a few minutes (sometimes hours) I just close it out. I can't subject you (or my other readers, that's weird) to reading about how much laundry I did that day or that I bought more Blue Bell while adventuring in HEB. To me it seems so boring. But then I start scrolling through other blogs and I'm interested and amused, I might add, when they post the same boring things that I won't post. So, I'm just warning you, you may pull up this blog and read about how I cleaned the kitchen last night and was really proud of myself. For cleaning the kitchen. Something any normal person would do. And then maybe we will both realize that, for me, cleaning the kitchen is a challenge and should be celebrated.
Please accept this very rare Saturday post as an apology for not keeping up with my so called "daily blog". (Still challenge you to find me quoting that somewhere.) I will do my best to keep this blog updated with hilarious stories and also how I used several coupons and managed to save X amount of money on groceries. I know you're interested now. Maybe one day I'll write a revealing post on my sons' genius song writing skills. You may have heard it already. That reminds me, one of my sons serenaded your eldest daughter while she was here. It was incredibly sweet.)
I am currently preoccupied listening to D laughing hysterically at Rose. The past two days he has come up to me and said, "Come look at what she's doing. She is so funny! She always makes me laugh." To me, that's awesome. My one year old is so amusing to my four year old that he is laughing so hard he can't tell me why. He also says amusing things like, "Um, Rose just needs her diaper changed." I acknowledge this but it's not enough and he continues with, "She needs it changed like a million times already, Mom." Thanks D. You are very helpful.
Alright then... I've got to make some supper now. Oh, and rescue a keyless stranger.

Someone's feeling a little...
BLUE
(Someone may not have slept well the past two nights)
(Someone may have new teeth erupting from her gums)
(Someone has detatched herself from Mama's hip to play with her brothers)
(Which means Mama has about 22 seconds of free time)
(Mama has been blessed with the "Angry Eyes" look frequently today)
(Mama is being very sympathetic)
(That also means that Mama isn't getting much done)
(Mama knows that Someone will be back to normal soon)
(This knowledge is a great comfort in times like these)
(Mama is not sure why so many parenthesis are being used)
(Typing this probably took 2 minutes...)
(With interruptions it actually took 68 minutes to publish it)
Just thought I'd share how things were going,
Mama
